Places to visit in Kasauli
While Kasauli does not have many attractions, these are the best places to visit with your loved ones for a soul-satisfying experience. Examine it out!
Monkey point
Kasauli’s Monkey Point is the highest point in town and one of the most well-known attractions. This destination is only 4 kilometres from the bus stop and has a small temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman that is always crowded with monkeys. The Monkey Point, as the highest point in town, provides a bird’s eye view of the nearby cities of Chandigarh, Kalka, Panchkula, and Sutlej river.
Gilbert Trail – For Nature Lovers
Gilbert Trail is a 1.5-kilometer easy hike. The trail begins at Kasauli Club and ends near Sunset Point at the Air Force Station. The path is wide in the strat and gradually narrows. Gilbert Tail is well-known for its views and diverse bird species.
Sunset Point – For Photography Enthusiasts
Sunset Point in Kasauli is a popular but quiet spot to enjoy the sunset, pine-lined landscapes, valleys, and scenery. Near the Sunset Point, there is a trail or path known as the Lover’s Lane, which is a quieter walk through the valleys and some of Kasauli’s most tranquil and breathtaking scenery. However, because it is a rather off-beat location with few facilities, it is best to leave before it gets dark or late in the evening.
Christ Church – A Historical Landmark
This church is a popular tourist destination because it is located in the city centre and is surrounded by a vibrant Mall road. It was built in the grandeur of the Gothic style of architecture in 1853.
Sunrise Point – For An Impeccable Start
Kasauli not only has a Sunset Point, but also a Sunrise Point, ensuring that anyone who visits has an excellent start to the day. This Kasauli tourist attraction, formerly known as Hawa Ghar, is located in the Lower Mall area. While you can photograph the sunrise here early in the morning, you can also return later in the day for some nature photography. It is without a doubt one of the best places to visit in Kasauli for all travel photographers, nature lovers, and couples!
Gurkha Fort – For History Buffs
This fort, located on the Parwanoo region’s uphills in the town of Subathu, is one of Kasauli’s most spectacular places to visit. It is home to 180-year-old canons used during the Gurkha wars, as well as ancient frescoes on its walls. You can indulge both the nature lover and the history buff within while visiting this location, which is surrounded by a forest of scrubs, pines, and eucalyptus trees.
The Mall Road – For Shopaholics
The Mall Road is one of the best places to visit in Kasauli in the summer and even in the winter for both shopaholics and foodies. This place is the ultimate hangout in town, offering everything from colourful fabrics and handicrafts to lip-smacking local delicacies and fresh drinks. And, because there is no best time to visit, you can spend hours here and make unforgettable memories. It is, without a doubt, one of the best Kasauli tourist attractions.
Kasauli Brewery – Enjoy A Drink
While the Kasauli hill station provides relief from the heat even in the summer, this brewery is a great place to visit in Kasauli in June if you’re still looking for ways to cool down. This is one of Asia’s oldest distilleries for scotch whiskey, founded in the 1820s by Edward Dyer. So, after you’ve explored the area, feel free to sit here with your loved ones and enjoy a glass of wine until late in the evening.
Toy Train Ride
The Kalka-Shimla toy train travels on a narrow-gauge track and is known for providing spectacular views of the hills and surrounding villages. The train, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, travels through vast green hills and deodar and pine forests. One can travel from Dharampur (10 kilometres from Kasauli) to Barog and back. Barog has a long tunnel that takes three minutes to complete. Tickets can be purchased from IRCTC and other partner websites.
